My name is Christina Lundeen and I’m a photographer.

I’m known for my portrait photography – children, families, business owners, puppies, anyone with a heart. Whether I’m shooting in black and white or rich color, I love something quirky but sweet in the expressions, patterns or shapes. Working as a portrait photographer is very challenging – I try to think out of the box for each client and make the photography process a special experience. I want your shoot to be fun and easy going. I want to make a piece of art that you hang on your wall and look at with a smile every day. I love it when I make someone cry when they see their photos – that’s the kind of emotion I want to invoke with my portraits.

I live in Kansas City now…grew up in Iowa and lived in New York City for nearly a decade. NYC really shaped my love of photography. How to capture energy or stillness in a photo. A mood. A suggestion. The way fashion and the physical environment can influence a portrait.

My personal work is mostly influenced by my travels. I love nothing more than learning about a new culture and being a silent observer behind my camera. My husband and I took a year off in 2007/2008 and bummed around the world. It was a whole year to work on my photography and see where I could take it professionally. The series that came out of our year-long trip was called “A Year With No Winter” and it was exhibited here in Kansas City at the Arts Incubator.

My studio is located in Brookside and is welcoming to adults and children alike. I will also travel to any location in the Kansas City metro area for photographs at your home or favorite outdoor space.

After your session, it takes about a week to prepare your proofs. When your proofs are ready, a custom viewing appointment is held at the studio where you view all of your images on the big screen, see the prints and products Christina Lundeen Photography has to offer, and make your purchase.
